Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our handcrafted home goods and artisan mission.
What makes Anchal Project products unique?
Each piece is handcrafted by artisans in Ajmer, India, using traditional techniques like kantha stitching. Every product is one-of-a-kind and signed by the artisan who created it, blending contemporary design with heritage craftsmanship.
How do I care for my hand-stitched textiles?
We recommend dry cleaning or hand washing in cold water with mild detergent to preserve the delicate hand-stitching and organic dyes. Lay flat to dry and avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading.
What is your shipping policy?
Orders are typically processed within 2-3 business days. We offer standard shipping across the United States, and international shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Yes, we accept returns of unused and unwashed items within 30 days of purchase. Please note that since our items are handmade, slight variations in color and pattern are expected and celebrated as part of the product's character.
How does my purchase support the artisans?
Anchal is a non-profit social enterprise. Your purchase directly funds fair wages, health care, and educational programs for women exploited by the commercial sex trade, empowering them through sustainable employment.
Are your materials eco-friendly?
We prioritize sustainability by using GOTS certified organic cotton and upcycled vintage saris, reducing textile waste and ensuring our production process is safe for both the makers and the environment.
